The company’s predecessor, the Red River Zinc Alliance, was founded in Yunnan by Professor Wang Shukai, a famous rare metal expert in China.
2005
The first-generation of core technology was successfully developed, and the core technology was preliminarily established.

The third-generation core technology was successfully developed, and the profit has been increasing significantly.
2009
Became a key high-tech enterprise in the National Torch Program.
2011
The fifth-generation of the core technology was successfully developed, completely achieving zero waste water and zero slag discharge.
2013
A new factory in Gejiu Sishui — a large-scale hydro-metallurgy production system with the annual processing capacity of 150,000 tons of WOX (waelz oxide) —was officially put into operation.
2014
Established the first place of the scale in processing the steel dust in China.
2015
Implement employee equity incentives; complete shareholding system reform, initiated the establishment of a limited company.
2016
The seventh-generation of GreenNovoâs core technology was successfully developed, which greatly optimizes the overall production process. Jointly initiated the establishment of the âIndustrial Waste Resource Utilization Fundâ with the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China International Capital Corporation and China Investment Insurance Company.
2017
Won certificate of âNational Green Factoryâ; annual steel dust processing capacity of reached 1.2 million tons.
2018
Passed the certification of scientific and technological achievements: GreenNovoâs core technology is recognized as the international advanced level.
2019
In 2019, it passed the identification of scientific and technological achievements, and the core technology was recognized as the international leading level.
2020
It became the technical demonstration base of the Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific.
2021
It was selected as a national specialized, refined, special and new “little giant” enterprise.

It won the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Circular Economy Association.

It was selected as a national circular economy standardization pilot project.
2024
The industrialized production of the world’s first indium ingot under the ammonia extraction zinc technology system was achieved. It won the gold medal of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition.
